Batam trip - 25 Feb 06

We booked 2 valentine's day package from UOB Travel Planner which cost S$240 for 2 pax and the package includes ferry ticket, one night accommodation at Holiday Inn, breakfast and a massage.

We board a ferry at World Trade Centre at around 10plus. By the time we reached Batam, it’s almost noon time. There is a bus transfer from the jetty to the hotel which was about 5 min drive. We checked into our room first and Huiying’s friend came to meet us at the hotel. Huiying’s friend is a local so he drove us to around in Batam.

We wanted to do manicure and pedicure in Batam as we heard that it is very cheap. We spent the whole afternoon doing manicure and pedicure and it only cost S$14.

Then we continue our way to the second destination – Kelong. The journey to the kelong was quite long which took at least ½ hr. We didn’t ate at the Kelong as our massage session was at 8pm. Hence we takeaway the food and rush back to the hotel. 

The massage was ok as I don't feel very relax after the massage. We had our dinner after the massage. By then, the food was cold already. After we finished our dinner, we went to the karaoke lounge and sang until 2am before we return to our room and sleep.

We woke up at 7am the next day and had our breakfast. Then Huiying and I returned back to our room and continue sleeping while Chew Hiang and Fredrick went to sauna and jacuzzi. We checked out and board the ferry at 12pm to return to Singapore.

I don't really enjoyed this trip as it’s a bit rush and most of our time are spent on manicure and pedicure.
