I took MRT to the airport directly after work and meet Peifen at Tanah Merah MRT station before we continue to Changi airport.
I have done the web check in the day before hence we can skipped the check in counter and head straight to the boarding gate which is only available for passengers with hand carry baggage only. As a result, we have ample of time for dinner and to shop in the departure transit lounge.

We landed at Phuket International Airport after 1hr 50min. The immigration is quite fast as there are many counters open. We left the arrival within 5min after immigration clearance since we do not have to wait for any baggage. There are taxi counters in the arrival hall but I have done research that the taxis here are more expensive. We exited the arrival hall, turn right and walked to the end where the taxi meter counter is located. There is a airport surcharge of THB100 which is payable on the spot and a piece of paper indicating the taxi number is given to us.

We board the cab and reached The Artist Hotel in Patong 45min later. We were offered a welcome drink when checking in and was given a room at the 5th floor. There is no lift in the hotel and we have to climb 5 level of steps everyday which is a bit tiring. The hotel is relatively small as there are only 8 rooms here.
I have booked a superior room and it's quite spacious. It comes with the basic amenities and there is hair dryer and safe box too. We had a bath and turn in for the night.
